194 govt, pvt hospitals in Haryana on Ayushman Bharat panel
The Ayushman Bharat scheme aims to holistically address health at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

Anil Vij, Health Minister of Haryana, has said that 194 government and private hospitals of the state have been empanelled for the Centre’s Ayushman Bharat scheme.

Vij said, "It will directly benefit around 80 lakh people of the state with free medical facilities of up to Rs 5 lakh."

"Haryana is the first state in the country to start this facility on a pilot project basis from August 15," he further added.

On September 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the nationwide scheme from Ranchi. Under this scheme, 10 crore poor and vulnerable families across India will be provided cashless coverage of up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalisation. 

This programme will be the world's largest government-funded healthcare programme.

The Ayushman Bharat scheme aims to holistically address health at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.
