In an exclusive interview Dr. Narendra Shyamsukha, Chairman, ICA Edu Skills, we came across their experience in the franchising space which dated back to 2001.

What makes your brand promising (USP of the brand)?

ICA is among the India’s one of the leading Vocational Training Institute. It is pioneer in its field of Accounts, Finance, Taxation and Banking. Over the last 18 years, we have trained and placed over 400,000 students under our flagship training programs that guarantees placement at the end of the course with any of our registered employers – we have close to 70,000 registered employers across the country. ICA has 30 placement offices in the country located at major cities. On Job guarantee courses ICA provides ATJ (Any Time Job) card to students. This card can be used by our student in placement offices across India for placement support.

When did you start franchising & what attracted you towards franchising?

We entered into Franchising in the year 2001 and were attracted by the deeper market penetration.

How many franchise institutes are you planning to open in next 12 months?

Established  in the year 1999,  We are planning to open 25 new centers in the next 12 months.

What is your business vision and how do you plan to achieve it in next five years?

ICA has a vision to train 5lakh students in next 5 years. Its quality commitment and assurance is revealed through adding more job roles (Sector Skill Council).

Tell us the franchise facts of your brand.

Talking about the facts, we have 5 company owned centres and the remaining 100 are franchisees. The total Investment required: 12-15 Lacs along with a required area required of 1200-1500 Sq feet. The expected RoI 106% in a year and the expected break- even 65-72 lacs.  Preferred cities & locations for franchising are Chennai, Lucknow, Kanpur, Siliguri, Bhubaneswar, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Indore, Surat, Aurangabad, Bhopal, Coimbatore, Madurai , Amritsar etc.
