Ed-tech apps are no longer used merely by students. The target audience group for ed-tech companies has expanded to working professionals, mothers, small business owners and more.

The ed-tech industry in India has grown leaps and bounds in the past few years with an increasing number of startups offering innovative solutions through enterprise technology such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

2020 is expected to see more growth in the ed-tech space with more startups jumping on the digital transformation bandwagon, here are some ed-tech startups to look out for in the coming year.

Digitizing the traditional way of teaching and customizing the learning experience

With digital transformation being the keyword in recent years and in the years to come, Enguru, an app offering spoken English and communication skills in 27 languages and live classes using AI and ML. Focussing on improving the employability quotient through spoken English skills, enguru is one of the three startups to be a  part of Amazon’s AWS program.

Look no further to clear your doubts

As per recent reports, it has been revealed that the resolution of doubts was one of the largest problems faced by students. The brain-child of IIT dropout Randhir Kumar, BasicFirst, a technology-based education app, focusses on resolving the doubts of students from across the country, and targets students from K6-K12 and also those preparing for competitive exams such as GATE, AIIMS, and IIT-JEE.

Scaling up the student-teacher ratio in the country

Government reports showed that out of 8 countries including Brazil, Sweden, India, China and so on, India had the lowest student-teacher ratio. Eckovation, started by a couple of IIT alumni, offers a solution to this issue by providing quality education to students through a digital platform. Eckovation is also one of the 3 startups to be a part of Amazon’s AWS program.

Prepping you for the government jobs

The rush to prepare and be placed in a stable and secure government job is one of the highest in India as compared to other countries.
