How Amazon with FISME Providing E-commerce Opportunity to Small Businesses

The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector has emerged as a highly vibrant and dynamic sector of the Indian economy over the last five decades. It contributes significantly to the economic and social development of the country by fostering entrepreneurship and generating largest employment opportunities at comparatively lower capital cost, next only to agriculture.

In today’s changed economic scenario, there is a need to encourage entrepreneurship, employment and livelihood opportunities and enhance the competitiveness of MSMEs.

Recently, Amazon India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME).

Under this collaboration, Amazon and FISME will empower Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to leverage growth opportunities in the e-commerce sector.

A Guiding Light For MSMEs

As per the MoU, experts from Amazon and FISME will conduct various events and workshops across the country that will enable the MSMEs in India to sell their products to millions of consumers from India and across the globe by leveraging the e-commerce platform.

MSMEs will get assistance in understanding the procedures and requirements related to areas such as logistics, cataloguing, imaging, taxation and will guide them through the entire process of selling through the e-commerce marketplace route.

Providing Digital Business Opportunity

MSMEs will be educated on the digital business opportunity, brand building, documentation, listing methodology and services such as Fulfilment by Amazon and Sponsored Ads.
