IFMR GSB, KREA University Inaugurates MBA & PhD Programmes for Academic Year 2019-20

IFMR Graduate School of Business (IFMR GSB) at Krea University has launched MBA & PhD Programmes for the academic year 2019-20. The full-time MBA and PhD programmes have been inaugurated at IFMR GSB’s Sri City campus.

The MBA batch consists of 175 students with diverse backgrounds, geographic, academics, work experience, as well as gender, with 41% of them being women students. The PhD batch has seven scholars with backgrounds in economics, finance, operations and data science.

Welcoming the batch of cohorts, Dr V Anantha Nageswaran, Dean of IFMR GSB, spoke about the relevance of management education in today’s business and economic environments, and how IFMR GSB’s revamped and well-crafted MBA and PhD programmes would benefit the participants.

While gracing the event, T Kannan, CEO and MD, Thiagarajar Mills, in his address to the students, stressed upon having ordinary qualities in extraordinary measures. He spoke about developing a moral compass, finding a mentor, and emulating a leader. He recommended students to become life-long learners, to look beyond symptoms of success, and to develop new ideas, as great ideas can bring in transformation in our society.
