NephroPlus plans to raise Rs 150 crore for overseas expansion
The company plans to launch 20 dialysis centres in the Middle East and South East Asia.

NephroPlus, running India's largest chain of dialysis centres, is looking to raise about Rs 150 crore to fund its overseas expansion by May 2019. The company plans to launch 20 dialysis centres in the Middle East and South East Asia.

So far, NephroPlus has raised Rs 200 crore funding from investors like International Finance Corporation, SeaLink Capital Partners and Bessemer Venture Capital.

Vikram Vuppala, Founder and CEO, NephroPlus, said, "While we are not compromising on India growth story, we are trying to create an impact on other emerging economies, with low reimbursement setting like India; that's the challenge we are undertaking."

In November last year, NephroPlus had acquired Indian operations of DaVita, the world’s second largest kidney care-provider, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition took Nephroplus' network to 183 dialysis centres across 100 cities and 18 states.

The company is operating around 137 dialysis centres outsourced by private hospitals, 37 in public-private partnership (PPP) and 9 standalone.
