Offering the globally renowned health and wellness therapies, Kaasha Spa & Nutrition started its journey from Mumbai. Now, the brand is ready to spread its wings across India via franchising. Vallari Shah, Founder of Kaasha Spa and Nutrition shares the brand’s future plans.

Rita G Chauhan (RGC): How was the idea of Kaasha Spa & Nutrition conceptualised?

Vallari Shah (VS): I am a nutritionist and cosmetologist with specialisation in beauty therapy, aroma therapy, spa therapy, facial electrical treatments, anatomy and physiology. I thought of giving my venture a 360 degree approach by combining health and beauty together and that’s how Kaasha Spa & Nutrition came in picture.

RGC: How has been the brand’s journey so far?

VS: Today, Kaasha Spa & Nutrition has been running successfully in heart of Mumbai. Since conceptualisation, it has gained popularity and has become one stop destination for the city’s best spa therapies conducted by our own group of trained therapists and beauticians who do their work wonderfully. This has helped Kaasha to grow with high standards.

RGC: How many franchises do you have presently in India? What are your plans for the next year?

VS: Kaasha Spa and Nutrition is one and a half year old concept and we currently have one branch in Worli, Mumbai. We intend to open at least three more branches in 2013.

RGC: When and what motivated you to adopt the franchise route for expansion of your idea?

VS: The great responses we are getting from our customers led us to extend our services.  We have customers from across Mumbai who like to try our services. This made us think about the prospect of expansion and reaching out to more people. We found that franchising will be a good model for further expansion and we could add number of centres in our network and reach wider customers with our services.

RGC: How Kaasha Spa & Nutrition differentiate it from other such concepts?  What is your success mantra?

VS:  Kaasha is not a typical and ordinary spa. It is one of the city’s best spa therapies conducted by expert masseurs. We offer the most luxurious and comfortable services to cater our customers lifestyle. The services we provide in our spa are from all round the world like balinese from Bali, morrocan from Turkey, Hawaiian gea therapy from Hawaii, and Vino Therapy which makes us a unique spa with worldwide therapy in one place.

RGC: What are the qualities and qualifications that you seek in your franchisees?

VS: As aspirant franchisee, there is no particular qualification required. Being our franchisee, we will be giving training on therapies, staff management, software, product knowledge, sales, marketing strategies etc.

RGC: How much investment and area is required to partner with you?

VS: For opening Kaasha Spa the required investment ranges Rs 35 to 50 lakh as per the location and area.

RGC: What can you predict about the brand’s future success?

VS: Kaasha is bringing more and more internationally recognised therapies in near future, which will bind the client to spa for life long. We are also hoping to open at least three more outlets soon which will help us in marketing and branding aspect too.

RGC: Where do you see your brand in the next five years?

VS: In next five years I want Kaasha Spa & Nutrition to be a leading Indian spa & nutrition brand name where customers can avail great beauty and health services together under single roof.
