Reliance's Jio Partners Meta Platforms To Launch Jio Mart On Whatsapp  
This launch of JioMart on WhatsApp will enable users to browse the JioMart catalog, add products to cart and make purchases; all without any external third party application.

A collaboration of Meta and Jio Platforms is announced to let customers enjoy an easy shopping experience on WhatsApp. This alliance is to give users the first ever end-to-end shopping experience on WhatsApp, where consumers can shop with their WhatsApp chat.

JioMart on WhatsApp will allow customers in India, including those who have never shopped online before, to explore JioMart's entire grocery inventory, add goods to basket, and make the payment to finish the transaction - all without leaving the WhatsApp chat.

Mark Zuckerberg, Founder and CEO, Meta, said in a Facebook post that he was very excited to launch Meta’s partnership with JioMart in India. “This is our first-ever end-to-end shopping  experience on WhatsApp. People can now buy groceries from JioMart right in a chat.  Business messaging is an area with real momentum and chat-based experiences like this  will be the go-to way people and businesses communicate in the years to come” he added. 

Commenting on the partnership, Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, said, “Our  vision is to propel India as the world’s leading digital society. When Jio platforms and  Meta announced our partnership in 2020, Mark and I shared a vision of bringing more  people and businesses online and creating truly innovative solutions that will add  convenience to the daily lives of every Indian.The JioMart on WhatsApp experience furthers our  commitment of enabling a simple and convenient way of online shopping to millions of Indians”.

He also pointed out that this partnership was an example of Jio working to develop an innovative customer experience with JioMart on WhatsApp. 

The launch is part of Meta and Jio Platforms' strategic cooperation to accelerate India's digital transformation and provide people and businesses of all sizes with new ways to interact and fuel economic growth in the country. The JioMart on WhatsApp experience will transform the way millions of companies communicate with their customers across the country, while also delivering unrivaled ease and convenience to people's buying experiences.
