Statiq Gets REIL Tender for 253 Fast Chargers on Four National Highways
For this tender REIL required 210 Fast chargers of 50 kW and 43 chargers of 100 kW for faster charging of four wheelers on the highways.

Statiq a leading Electric Vehicle charging network won a Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Ltd. (REIL) tender for around 253 charging stations. The tenders is for setting up EV chargers at four key highways connecting Agra-Lucknow, Meerut-Gangotri, Chennai-Bellary, and Mangaldai-Wakro. REIl will be procuring these chargers and then installing them on the highways. With the help of this win, the company will ensure an affordable, accessible and reliable 4-wheeler charging network on these corridors.

According to the official statement by the company, Statiq is already working in the EV charging sector and has managed to set a large number of charging stations in Jaipur, Beawar, Jaisalmer, Udaipur and Jodhpur. While this is an outright sale, Statiq will maintain the overall quality and upkeep of the equipment for the next 3 years, the company added.

For this tender REIL required 210 Fast chargers of 50 kW and 43 chargers of 100 kW for faster charging of four wheelers on the highways.

Aman Rehman, Head of Government Relations and Corporate Affairs, Statiq, commented on the deals saying, "Statiq is keen on participating in all initiatives for electrifying India and upgrading its motor choices. The electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) space is going to be playing a critical role in helping the nation make a smooth transition from conventional ICE vehicles to eco-friendly EVs.

He added that REIL had been very active on the e-mobility front in India and it was an honour to win a tender with such a forward-thinking Public Sector Undertaking.

“The transition will become a reality only when there is a strong network of charge points. And, at Statiq, we are keeping an eye on any such project that we can be part of, such as winning this vital tender at REIL, to further this cause. We are looking forward to helping countless 4-wheelers stay charged while travelling across these high-speed corridors," Said Aman.

Statiq has raised over INR 200 crore in a Series ‘A’ funding. It has teamed up with Hero Electric and also collaborated with EV maker Ather, to enhance the combined EV charging network in the northern states. The latest proposition is the next step on Statiq’s part to expedite this process further. By the end of the year, Statiq aims to have a 20,000-strong charging network, the release said.
