TelioEV Is Becoming A Complete Solution For EV Economy

Speaking with Opportunity India, Amit Singh Founder of TelioEV sheds light on the business model.

What Is TelioEV And From Where Did You Derive The Name?

Singh: TelioEV is a digital SaaS solution for the complete EV economy. It not only includes the SaaS solution for the EV charging management, EV charging roaming but it also gives facility for aggregation of all the different charging stations and service station of the vehicles. The name TelioEV has been derived from parent company Teliolabs. The name is based on Telescope as the app helps in searching all the EV needs.

What Work Has Been Done In Research And Development Sector?

Singh: We have collaborated with couple of engineering colleges to set up EV R&D labs and we are using those R&D labs to solve end customers’ problems and incorporating it into the SaaS so that once someone buys it they keep getting the new features.

We are also building the charging roaming so that customer can charge their vehicle anywhere. We are also implementing charger testing system in our platform. We have partnered with some patented solutions from US and have integrated it with our solution. It will be launched in the September.

How Are You Planning To Reduce Fire Incidents In Vehicles?

Singh: The Indian charger manufacturer are bringing system from other countries and assembling it here. Now they need a facility to test those chargers before they deploy it. So, the testing is also available at TelioEV SaaS solution. We are partnering with battery management solutions, there are couple of reasons why the fire had occurred in these vehicles and one of them is people are not using the proper charging system and using domestic charging. We are trying that charging safety solution reaches out to most of the charger manufacturers.  We are indirectly seeing that with better charging facility and better management facility, these incidents can be reduced.

We are enabling charging system manufacturers with OCPP which is standard for charging stations. This will help many charging company to involve in this industry.

When we talk about making the environment clean and green, first thought has to be shift to Electric Vehicles and plant trees.  Ongoing electric vehicle adoption in India is based on the Paris agreement to reduce carbon emissions, to improve the air quality in urban areas and reduce oil imports. TelioEV is also working in this line. It has created a human QR code to plant a tree on every download of its app.

What Is Human QR Code?

He said the mission is to spread awareness on tree plantation while promoting our brand.

Singh: Our mission is to bring people together and spread awareness on tree plantation. We created a human QR code for TelioEV App. The consumer uses the QR code to download the app and we plant a tree on their behalf, in this way it is serving two purposes. One is planting trees and other is brand awareness. We are enabling ecosystem through SaaS technology which in turns make the end user to use the EV and make the environment clean and green.
