It has 183 centers across India and has a global presence in 13 countries spreading 4 continents. With 24 years of legacy, over 5 lakh students passed out and approximately 25,000 students graduating every year.

Anil Khosla, CEO of INIFD says, “Our target is to reach 500 centres during the next two years period."

INIFD is planning to open franchise centres in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.

Here are some of the reasons why INIFD is looking into franchise model for expansion and why is on the expansion spree:

Small Towns Big Dreams

Small towns and cities have long been neglected but now due to factors like real estate, infrastructure, and internet connection, the population has become more aware and are open to new opportunities in business, as well as skill development.

INIFD Region Director Sanjay Saraswath said that the group has posted Rs 400 crore turnover last year. The group has only two centres in Hyderabad currently.

"We are looking to open 40 more franchise centres in two Telugu states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh including the cities of Guntur, Vijayawada, Vishakhapatnam, Karimnagar, Warangal, Kakinada, Khammam, Nalgonda, and other potential cities. Our aim is to take fashion Designing to masses that is where the talent is."

Easy Admission Option

INIFD Director Ritu Kochchar said INIFD just launched "Learn from Manish Malhotra", an online fashion design course, where Manish Malhotra shares all his experiences and insights into the world of Fashion. It will be a 52 weeks, 9 modules program, she added.

"Our major aim in launching it is taking Fashion Design to masses. The portal already has 3500 students. We aim to reach one lakh enrolments in next one year. The fee is out most reasonably at Rs.10000. We are the only institute in the country to offer an online certificate program. Manish Malhotra will give a certificate at the end of the program."

She also added that the company was considering to launch an exclusive online portal for fashion designers.

Social Media

The craze to create own fashion line is inspired basically by the social media, where students are exposed to the work of renowned celebrity fashion designers, who have made their own mark in the industry. Students aspire to become one and INIFD is providing them the opportunity to learn.
