The Only brand with 82 years of legacy in Spoken English domain and have 25 years of Franchising Experience as the oldest Franchisee is 25 years old which is unlike in India, The British Institutes plan to achieve 200 centres all across India and Neighboring Countries in 5 years and to reach at least another 10 millions of student across these territories.

What makes you different from your contenders?

The only brand in India which provides 3 product lines under one roof i.e. Language Training, Computer Education and Govt. Jobs Test Preparatory Courses. Only brand in India to have Oxford University Press content and CEFR based assessment, British Council Aptis for Spoken English Classes operating in India since 1935.

What attracted you towards Franchising?

Sitting at Kolkata, we cannot understand the need of the local/regional level students’ education and we would need Business Partners who would not only work as a partner to the company’s growth but also understand the local needs and facilitates students according to their skill development needs.

How many franchise units you are planning to open in next 12 months?

We have been aggressive in expanding ourselves after receiving enormous response from the local centres and students and plan to achieve 50 centres in next 12 months

What is your business vision and how do you plan to achieve it in next five years?

Our business vision is to reach out to every parts of India including the neighboring countries and we don’t wish to quantify it with volumes or financial figures but yes we would want to be present in every city in India in coming 5 years and of course the business will follow accordingly. However for us, as an organization, it is important to grow in reaching out the skill development needs of India than business volumes.

How is your brand scaling up the franchising business in the Skill Training sector?

Our all courses are on Skill Development only whether Language Skill Development or Computer Education is for IT Skill Training. We are using CEFR based assessment , British Council Aptis for assessing students studying Spoken English with us which is on International levels and mostly the Inquiries to become our Franchisee is coming to us as the only option in English Language Skill Training franchising options available to the Investors.

Why the Skill training segment has become a hot spot among investors?

India is suffering from a disease which is unemployment and skill training is the only solution for the same. Whether be Skilled, Semi-Skilled or Unskilled, the skill training is important and that is why the Govt. bodies are also very proactive towards its execution. So when the focus of Govt. of India including State Governments is at Skill Development, the Skill Training itself becomes an Industry now which is attracting all investors for a long term gains and a reputed business to opt for.

Being one of the key players in the skill space, how are you taking charge for Skill Development revolution?

We are one of the oldest companies in India since 1935 working in the domain of Skill Development and continuously growing our product lines with skill expertise like Oxford University Press content and CEFR based assessment, British Council Aptis in English language training. The Accounts Manager course which offers Financial Accounting (Tally) with E-filling and GST training adds skill development of a simple Graduate candidate to either become self employed becoming Accounting Consultant and at the same time filling the gaps of Accountants job in India. We are in this skill space and will be leading from the front while shaping career of Indian students.

What innovations have you introduced in the last one year?

We have added Oxford University Press content along with as association with British Council for Aptis which is a CEFR based assessment in Spoken English skill development segment. We have added the holistic learning approach for all Language Training needs including German, French, Spanish, Russian and Chinese language and have become the largest players in Language Trainer offering 6 languages in one institute PAN India.

Where does the next opportunity lie in Skill Training segment and how are you planning to tap it?

The next opportunity is to explore the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) for language training which my team is working on along with the Artificial Intelligence courses in Computer Education.

How are you making the institute future-ready?

We have already adopted the teaching pedagogy which is unique in Language training with the help of Oxford University Press content and CEFR based assessment, British Council Aptis and moving towards the international level communication development of students of India along with the new exploring opportunities with Oracle University for Oracle bases international level courses which we are in talks with Oracle University and not finalised yet. So The British Institutes will be the single point of contact for Language and Computer Skill training needs for all career aspirants in India.
