Yatra.com, an online travel operator plans to aggressively expand its presence in India via franchising. It currently has 29 franchise outlets and aims to take the count to 100 outlets in one year. Till now, Yatra has expanded its franchisee network in north and central India. Now the company is shifting its focus to other parts of India as well. The company is targeting tier II urban centres having a population of eight lakh or above. It has recently added a Yatra franchisee in Mangalore, which is the second franchisee outlet in southern India after Chennai, in its network. Besides this new opening, it has also opened franchisee locations at Amritsar and Bhilai.
