The kitsch retailer stores are part of an agreement with Mumbai-based Planet Retail Holdings, and Cath Kidston plans to increase the number of shops in India over the next few years.

Cath Kidston, the brand which has charmed the global market with its floral prints is all set to paint the Indian market with its signature style. The company has marked this move as a part of its global expansion plan. By initially opening its two stores in Mumbai and Delhi, the brand is aiming to dig deep inside the ever growing Indian market.

The kitsch retailer stores are part of an agreement with Mumbai-based Planet Retail Holdings, and Cath Kidston plans to increase the number of shops in India over the next few years. Elaborating on the Indian expansion plan, Kenny Wilson said that India is one of the fastest growing markets in the world and we are very excited about bringing Cath Kidston to India. The company has already opened about 226 stores around the globe, with maximum outlets installed in UK (68 stores).

Adding further, Wilson commented that brand believes its affordable, fun, British, vintage-inspired clothes, bags, childrenswear and homeware will appeal to people in India of all ages. The company does a lot of homework before it enters a new market and brand already knows from the growing online sales that people in India are appreciating its products. From this, company thinks that India could potentially become a very successful and important market for the brand.
