Emami joins hands with German firm to launch homoeopathy medicine in India
In a move to expand its horizon, FMCG major Emami has partnership with German homoeopathic firm Hevert-Arzneimittel for manufacturing and marketing of select Hevert formulations in India.

Aiming to capture a major share of the homeopathy pharma segment, FMCG major Emami has collaborated with leading homeopathic company Hevert-Arzneimittel, one of the top 10 manufacturers of homeopathic medicines in the world based at Nussbaum, Germany.

Emami arms M Bhattacharyya & Co and King & Co Homoeo Chemist through its homoeopathy. The brand has forged alliance with Hevert-Arzneimittel for the distribution and marketing, GMP consultancy and licence for manufacturing select Hevert formulations in India, under its strategic partnership, says a statement released by the firm.

Commenting on the collaboration, R S Agarwal, Founder & Joint Chairman, Emami Group said, "We were always open for strategic technical collaboration with international homoeopathic firms and I am confident that our partnership with Hevert is going to benefit the consumers in India immensely."

Reportedly, as per the agreement signed between Emami and Hevert-Arzneimittel, the medicines would be available in 400 homoeopathy medicine retail outlets across diverse distribution channels.

The Kolkata based FMCG Major Emami Group has forayed into homoeopathy sector by acquiring M Bhattacharyya & Co Private, one of the country's earliest homeopathy companies in 2011.
