As India is a fast developing country, a lot is being planned and done to ensure that the growing population gets good education facilities, becomes more employable and is prepared to be a part of the revolution. It is the education that eventually adds up to the country’s socio-economic numbers. Some young minds are out there tapping this opportunity and doing big to make the education sector of India boom and grow.

These young education entrepreneurs of today or young 'edupreneurs' who have launched unique initiatives for educating and making it the knowledge capital of the world are worth discussing on the occasion of International Youth Day. Let’s take a look at some:

Krishna Kumar

Krishna Kumar founded Simplilearn.com in 2009 and over the years, he has built the company into a leading player in training for professional certification courses.

Simplilearn claims to be the world's largest professional certifications company with customers from over 150 countries. It offers over 400 courses from a panel of over 2,000 industry experts ranging from Data Science, Project Management, Big Data, Digital Marketing, SEO (search engine optimisation), and more. The startup claims to have trained over half a million professionals since its inception.As the CEO, Krishna brings a rare combination of creative, analytical and operational skills. He believes in balancing technology with human interaction in delivering a world class learning experience. Under his leadership, the business has dramatically expanded across continents, enhancing its advance capabilities to impart learning solutions.

Ritesh Singh and Akshat Goel

Eckovation, a mobile-based social learning platform was co-founded by the two Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Delhi graduates Ritesh Singh and Akshat Goel in the year 2014. They are passionate about technology, and the way it can be used to impact businesses and people's lives in a positive manner that is beneficial for them, and to the society in the long term.

This start-up addresses the common challenge of effective communication among parents, students and teachers across metros and Tier-II and III cities. The app uses technology to bridge the gap and run a feedback and conversation channel. The application is flexible and allows users to create extensions and expand network quickly. Eckovation was accredited as one of the top-five start-ups in North India in 2014.

Paritosh Gunjan

Flygrades is an app offering effective and seamless solution to connect parents with children. Even as they practise mathematics together, this application is making study fun for schoolchildren. Co-founded by Paritosh Gunjan, a young entrepreneur who has loved mathematics from his early days, Flygrades helps understand complex concepts of mathematics through interactive games awarding real prizes for clearing various stages in the process.

Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini

Unacademy is India's largest free education initiative, which aims to index the world's education on its platform in all languages. Founded by Gaurav Munjal and Roman Saini, it is India’s most popular educational channel on YouTube. Both the founders are passionate about writing and are programmers.

Evidently, age does not restrict the creativity of exploring minds as these young entrepreneurs can be seen stepping out of their comfort zones and starting their entrepreneurial journey to develop something new in education and set an inspiring example for the upcoming generation. Education in India is yet to go a long way and with such young budding entrepreneurs making it reach every corner of the world with easy to use technology, it is not a distant dream.
